Point Lobos | This loop takes you to all of the best spots in the park in one go.
Point Lobos
- The hike is planned to happen at Point Lobos State Natural Reserve; considered to be the crown jewel of the California State Park System. It has been said that Point Lobos is the greatest meeting of land and water in the world and the offshore area is part of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary.
- The drive from Monterey to Point Lobos is a 13 min (see map below).
- We plan on hiking the Point Lobos Loop (6.4 miles, 3 hours, easy-moderate) – plan to start the hike at 7 AM.
- Make sure you bring your camera.
